I love Coast Original Soap

I’ve been a loyal user of Coast Original Soap since the late 70’s. It was a shock to me when the Dial Corp took it off the shelves and replaced it with their new Coast Pacific Force scent. I gobbled up every bit of the Original that I could find and basically tapped out all of the availability at internet retailers.

I now go to great lengths to find it and pray that my now 250+ bar stash will never run out.

What’s great about the Internet is that it enables people like me to find others in the same boat.

Thank you John Grove for reading my post on ABestWeb and hooking me up with 50 more bars!

And so I ask… What is your guilty pleasure and what lengths do you go through to get it?

I`d enjoyed using liquid Coast Pacific Force for more than 10 years, until last week when I bought three new bottles thinking it was the original only to discover it had this horrible loud scent [some would say it smelled like an "old French whore"].  I immediately threw them in the trash can and will never buy Coast again.   Maybe I`ll try Ocean Fresh if I can find it.

Does anyone remember the gold coast soap from back in the 80s and 90s? I really loved that soap and when i called the company, they don’t even have a history of it.  I remember it was my mom’s favorite soap for us  in the summer because of the clean, fresh scent that wasn’t too overbearing.

Try Nature’s Provender’s soap.  You can find it at TJMaxx, if there’s one in your area (I’m in IL).   I use the Oatmeal Honey bar and it’s incredible.  So good I went to all the local TJmaxx stores and brought 8 bars.
They are extra  large bars, at $3.99 per bar.  It only takes a few rubs in a wash cloth to lather up.   So much lather you could wash n rinse twice.  You feel clean and you don’t get that dried out feeling you get with most in-store soaps. The scent gives you a reason to wake up in the morning.   Highly recommended.  I only have 2 bars left of original coast.  Had to find a replacement.

I haven't seen that version in my area yet, but when I do, I'll give
it a sniffy sniff. I'm skeptical, but I'd give it a shot. Thanks
for letting me know.

No prob – I can send you an 8-pack if you can't find it where you live, just lemme know (no charge). Definitely an improvement on PF, in my opinion!

That's very nice of you. Let me dig around town a little more and see if I can find them first before you go through all the trouble!

I've called a few times since it was taken off the shelves. While I wish that they would, I feel like the cries just fall on deaf ears.
