The new and spectacular MSC Orchestra

I can’t believe it’s less than a week before the Gary Vaynerchuk Thunder Cruise.

I’ve been looking forward to it for months because while I do enjoy my wine, I do not consider myself an expert. I figure that after spending a week tasting wine after wine with Gary as my sommelier, that I will walk away from this cruise much more knowledgeable than I am now.

Between what Gary has in store for us, exploring the ports of call, the Balinesian Spa and all the wine, I know this is going to be an experience I won’t soon forget.

I’ve got my thunder packed and ready to go!

Below is the Grand Tasting List.  You’re not going to believe this when I tell you it, but these are not all of the wines that will be available on the cruise.  These are just the wines that will be featured in the tasting scheduled for April 19th when we spend the day at sea.

I stopped drinking because of the diabetes (every little bit helps) but I do love wine and that list looks amazing. I hope you have a fantastic trip. Can't wait to hear all about it!

There was no shortage of wine to be tasted and Gary’s goal of expanding everyone’s palate was achieved.

Hey Missyward… I've got a blog request for you while you are on the Thunder Cruise. It relates to a wine that will be served at a beach party during the cruise. I'm not sure if you are going to get this but if you do please email and I'll provide you more details to see if you would be interested.

Thanks TrishaLyn — yeah, Nassau is the one destination I'm not excited about. Probably because this will be my 32nd time there. Between all of the cruises I've been on that stop there, and my proximity to Nassau, I tend to go there a lot. But you're right, Senor Frogs is a lot of fun — I may have sampled a drink or to there once before 😉

WOW… 32nd?! I forget you live in Florida… I'm looking forward to the updates! I tried blogging/twittering, etc from my cruise in Feb but international rates were staggering lol.

8 Missyward April 14, 2009 at 12:36 pm

I'm planning on doing updates from the cruise with some pictures and video that I'll be posting here. So it'll be like you're right there with me… only not

It looks like you guys are stopping in Nassau… I highly recommend Senor Frogs! It's within walking distance from where the ships dock and it's crazy fun.

Also, if you're there for a whole day, Atlantis resort is GORGEOUS. I've got lots of photos tagged on Flickr of it if you want to see.

Yeah — I practically have dual citizenship 😉 The ship is touting their wi-fi and their wired cabin lines. Hopefully their rates won't be as bad as I think they're going to be!

The cruise I took the internet was something like $30/hr and the International calling rates were $6.99/min. I didn't dare use the data plan on my phone for fear of that $6.99! lol

Just got hold of the rates… 120 minutes is $50 bucks. 250 minutes is $80. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
