Learn How To Use Your #ADD and #ADHD To…

  • by Missy Ward

Last year, I openly discussed my LTR with ADHD in “Succeed in Spite of Your Disability – An ADHD’ers Guide to Getting Ahead“.

It was completely liberating.

Not only did it feel great to just get it out there into the universe, the repercussions were completely uplifting.  Friends, family and business associates reached out to me to let me know that as they were reading my article, they felt as though they were reading about themselves.

Some let me know that because of the article, they finally went to get tested, subsequently diagnosed and are now actively leveraging ADHD's wonderful characteristics such as creativity, multi-tasking, risk-taking, and the inability to not let go of a stimulating project until it is completed or loses its sparkle).

I'm always happy to talk about the strategies that I use to compensate for some of the challenges that ADHD presents and love listening to other's suggestions as well.

That's why I want to share Peter Shankman‘s (my ADHD brother from another mother) upcoming FREE ADHD Superpower Webinar, taking place on Tuesday, November 10th at 1pm Eastern.

Peter Shankman"s ADHD Superpower Webinar

Peter will be sharing his tips on how to focus without medication, online tools that he recommends, tricks that he's learned along the way and more.  There won't be any medical advice given, because well… he's not a doctor.

There are no strings attached to join in on the webinar. Like me, he just hopes that he can help out a few people in the process.

If you're planning on hopping on the call, make sure you register now… before you get derailed 🙂

The Psychology of Infographics [Infographic]

  • by Missy Ward

Bigstock Photo passed this infographic along to me to share with my audience. I'm glad they sent the giant visual over otherwise I would have likely not responded as quickly.

Did they send it that way because they know that my brain processes images so much quicker than I do a ton of words on an email or a blog post?

… Or, maybe they just knew that I spent too much time on LOLCATS.com today and needed something to look at, that was much more stimulating for my brain.

I'm fairly sure you're skipping this text right now anyway because of the amazingly colorful, ginormous image located below.

Let's see what this does… You look fabulous today. How do I look?

Turn Negative Customer Experiences into Positive Opportunities

  • by Missy Ward

No matter how much you love your business or how well it is run, there will always be customers who are dissatisfied with your product or the service you provided, for whatever reason.

While complaints are not always a sign that something is wrong, reading a letter packed with grievances or a negative review online about your business… double sucks. Not only can the words hurt your feelings, but they may also be devastating to your business if left unchecked.

A Harris Interactive study indicated that only about 4% of dissatisfied customers complain. 96% just go away. Additionally, RightNow’s “Customer Experience Impact Report”, showed that 82% percent of U.S. consumers said they have stopped doing business with a company due to poor service. 55% of those said that the main reason was due to slow and inefficient resolution to a customer service inquiry.

Brian Littleton, CEO of ShareaSale.com recently gave a keynote address during Affiliate Summit East 2015. During his presentation he asked the audience to respond to the following question, “What’s the first word that comes to mind when you find out that someone has filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against your company or left you a really bad 1-star review on Yelp”?

This is a small sample of the audience responses.

While some of these first reactions may seem natural, how you actually respond to a customer that just called your baby, “Ugly”, can either turn into an opportunity for your company… or simply make your competitors happy. Read more “Turn Negative Customer Experiences into Positive Opportunities” →

#PowerOf39 – Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back Raises Over…

  • by Missy Ward

On September 12-13, 2015, Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back took on another Avon 39 challenge, this time in Santa Barbara, CA.

The Avon 39 is The Walk to End Breast Cancer – 2 Days, 39.3 Miles, 7 Cities Across the United States.

The money raised during the event helps fund research, awareness and education while providing assistance for families currently battling breast cancer. It also supplies much-needed screenings and treatment to detect breast cancer and stop it in its tracks.

This was my ninth breast cancer walk and as captain, I was privileged to walk with these incredible 39’ers: Robert Duva, FinandField.com; Liz Fogg, MyBlingPlace.com; Joel Garcia, Lab6Media.com; Adam Riemer, Adam Riemer Marketing; Kevin Strawbrige, Rackspace and Melissa Salas, WorldOfWatches.com. Special thanks goes out to Karen Garcia of Lab6Media who has walked with us previously, but this time, lent us her hubby and acted as our official “Team Handler”.

Nearly 2,300 other walkers conquered the 39.3 miles to crush breast cancer with us. In total, $5.3 Million was raised in conjunction with this walk with our team coming in fifth place, raising nearly $48,000.

I was excited to see that I was the Top Fundraiser this walk, coming in at $34,513.81 and that Team AMGB came in at #5!

My favorite thing about raising money for the Avon Foundation for Women is that I get to see the dollars I've raised be distributed right in front of me, during closing ceremonies.

Since 2007, Affiliate Marketers Give Back has raised nearly $600,000.00 for charities that support breast cancer awareness, treatment, research and community programs. Read more “#PowerOf39 – Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back Raises Over $47,000 for the Avon 39 Santa Barbara Walk” →
