Orlando Affiliate Marketers Have Gone Fishin’

  • by Missy Ward

Well, we will be. Wednesday, May 21st marks the day where Orlando Affiliate Marketers hit the high seas on the Orlando Princess out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

Last year, we had an amazing time. Fish were caught. Affiliate marketing conversation was had. Beer was drunk. Here's a quick video of last year's trip:

So far, the following folks have confirmed their participation: Pat Grady (RhinoFish Media), Angel Djambazov (Custom Tailored Marketing), Jon Nunez (Suluta), Michael Nunez (Suluta), John Wagner (Wags, Inc.), Andy Rodriguez (ARC Consulting), Asif Malik (GoldenCAN), Timothy Jones (Insider's Guide to Disney World), Steve Poviliaitis and Jennifer Fluker (Market Leverage) and me. There will likely be a few others that will join up.

If you're interested in attending, let me know. Here are the details:

  • Wednesday, May 21 – Port Canaveral fishing trip.
  • Boat leaves / returns: 10:30am to 4:30pm — best to be there, in line, paying, at ~9:45am
  • $55 per person and includes everything you'll need (except for sunscreen!).
  • Directions: http://www.orlandoprincess.com/DirectionsPage.htm
  • Location: Just off SR 528 at Cruise Terminal B
  • For more information on the Orlando Princess, click here.

    Hope you can make it!

    Give Back and Save!

    • by Missy Ward

Team Affiliate Marketers Worldwide, led by myself, will be taking to the streets with their “feets” during the 2008 Seattle Breast Cancer 3-day. It’s a 60-mile walk over the course of three days that raises money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

There are a number of fundraising promotions going on including the sales of “Affiliate Marketers Give Back” limited edition clothing line, a T-shirt sponsorship, and more. Additional information on the team lineup can be found at AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com.

I just also announced the “Give Back and Save” fundraising promotion. It’s a great way to make a tax-deductible donation to a great charity and get a free exhibit hall pass or an additional discount of up to $500 on a full conference pass to Affiliate Summit Boston.

Now through July 31, 2008, when you make a $50, $100, $250 or $500 donation in support of the walk, you will receive a discount coupon in that same amount, valid off your registration at Affiliate Summit 2008 East in Boston.

Give Back and Save is a great way to support your fellow Affiliate Marketers as they raise funds to fight Breast Cancer and save some bucks at the same time.

    How to Donate:
Visit www.60-milewalk.com and click on your preferred walker. Make your donation of either $50, $100, $250 or $500.

How to Claim Your Discount Code:
Once you receive your donation confirmation email, forward it to realdeal at affiliatesummit dot com. Your information will be processed and you will be sent a discount code via return email.

    I’ve Got My Orange Crush

    • by Missy Ward

There's no disputing the fact that Jim Kukral has an idiosynchratic affection for the Flip camera.

I dig it, but I'm quite certain that my devotion to it is limited to the next “new thing” that will make my Flip — well — irrelevant.

In any case, Jim's got one of his “funsperiments” going on where he's asked folks to show him their Flips.

Kind of voyeuristic, in my opinion, but hey, I'm no prude.

    Orange Flips Rule!
