Affiliate Summit East 2010 Scholarship Program Now Available

Shawn Collins and I are sponsoring up to fifty (50) “Pay it Forward Scholarships” to affiliates in the affiliate marketing industry.

The goal of the scholarships is to make the education and networking experience of Affiliate Summit available to affiliates who might not otherwise be able to attend.

Each recipient of the Pay it Forward Sponsorship will be awarded one (1) Platinum Pass (a $1,249 value) to Affiliate Summit East 2010, taking place at the Hilton New York on August 15-17.

Applicants will be considered based on current participation in and future contribution to the affiliate marketing industry.

All applications will be reviewed by the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board and winners of the scholarships will be notified by June 18th.

To be considered for a Pay It Forward Scholarship, please complete the online application. The deadline for submission is Friday, June 4th.

In 39 Days, I Will Walk 39 Miles to…

To all my friends, family and business associates:

In 39 days, I will walk 39 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer – Chicago. I will be walking with many women and men who want to do their part to help the fight against breast cancer, including the rest of my teammates on Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back.

As part of my commitment, I have agreed to raise $1,800, but being that I'm never happy doing anything at just the minimum, I've agreed to raise $20,000 personally and have set my team goal at $50,000.

I'm doing great, but could still use your help. As of today, I've raised $10,106.00 and am more than half way to my goal.

Now – more than ever – I need you to support this important cause. Did you know that the Avon Foundation has helped more than one million women in the United States receive a mammogram? More than two-thirds of these women were uninsured, and more than half were from minority populations.

Last Call for Affiliate Summit East 2010 Speaker Proposals…

The speaker proposal period for Affiliate Summit East 2010, taking place August 15-17, 2010 in New York City, is about to end.

The submission deadline is April 30, 2010.

Accepted speakers will be notified no later than May 14, 2010. Due to the volume of submissions, we will not notify applicants if they have not been accepted. Therefore, if you have not been contacted by May 14, 2010, your proposal was not accepted.

The speaker selection process will be different this time around – there will be a public voting system where everybody has a voice in the selection process of speakers for Affiliate Summit East 2010. Stay tuned for more details.

@ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure…

I was happy to see that the 2nd Edition of ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income launched today. This is a fantastic book written by Darren Rowse of Problogger.net and Chris Garrett of ChrisG.com.

The original book was written 2008 with a goal of putting together a resource for bloggers that would walk them through the steps of creating and growing a profitable blog.

This is an update of the 1st edition and includes several significant updates including:

New examples, screenshots, updates of new tools, a few deletions of references to old tools, an update to the writers' stories in the intro etc.

Chris has added a fairly significant chapter on social media and how it impacts and can be used by bloggers

Darren has added a case study chapter that goes through the first 4 years of his main blog – Digital Photography School. He sorts through how he launched it, what he focused upon in years 1-2 and then in years 3-4, how he monetizes it and shares the secrets to how he drives significant traffic and income through email newsletters, social media etc.
