Dinners, Parties, Giveaways, Oh My!

Sitting here thinking about Ad:tech NYC next week and my vacation to Aruba, immediately following…. Wondering how on earth I'm going to get 14 days of clothing for two completely different climates into one piece of luggage. Why limit it to one you ask?

It's the challenge.

Speaking of challenges, I took a look at my calendar for Ad:tech and I realize that I might have over-committed. Here's what I RSVP'd “Yes” to:

Now, none of this would be overwhelming if it wasn't for the fact that I will be trapped behind my booth (that's #919) all day long, spending hours upon hours on my feet.

But given the fact that I'm not afraid of commitment (just ask my ex-hubby's), I intend to fulfill all of my good-guest obligations and make it to everything I said “yes” to. After all, they were all kind enough to invite me, eh?

And let's talk about that booth.

Affiliate Summit will be exhibiting at Booth 919 (in case you missed my previous plug). My fellow co-founder, Shawn Collins did a quick video on the stuff that will be going on at our booth, after checking with me late last night.

He apparently had some difficulties during the production, so I'm here to help out. Here are a list of items that we will not be giving away at our booth: pens, pencils, highlighers, stress balls, lint rollers (we already gave those away once before), paper holders that resemble roach clips, cups, mugs, sticky notes, pads of paper, gum, mints, clothing apparel, calculators, computer accessories, tools, or anything related to these items.

We will be giving out copies of the last FeedFront issues and something very special. In order to get the something special, you must use the secret phrase, “I Voted”.

So hope to see you in NYC and feel free to drop off as many cups of Starbucks (located downstairs in the Hilton Lobby) at my booth (#919) 😉

Save $100 Bucks on Affiliate Summit

Affiliate Summit is going to be exhibiting at booth # 919 at Ad:tech in New York City next week.

I'll have a full post later this week of all the parties going on and where I'll be going.

In keeping with tradition, we'll be giving away a some goodies and copies of the current and past issues of FeedFront Magazine.

Affiliate Triathalon Benefits the Boobies!

There's no mistaking the fact that I am a proud supporter of most charities that directly fund breast cancer research and treatments as well as provide education and mammograms to the public.

I can't be more thrilled to announce that Affiliate Summit will be supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation during the upcoming Affiliate Summit Conference in Las Vegas, this January.

Affiliate Summit will be donating 100 percent of the funds received from the following sponsorships:

Affiliate Triathalon – $100.00 per person entry fee.

Sign up to participate in a Triathalon designed for affiliate marketers by affiliate marketers to be held on Tuesday, January 13th at 4:30pm at the Rio. We assure you that fun will be had by all participants and onlookers.

1st Prize: a 10’x10’ non-corner booth during Affiliate Summit 2009 East (a $5,195 value); 2nd Prize: a Platinum Pass to Affiliate Summit 2009 East (a $1,249 value); 3rd Prize: a Gold Pass to Affiliate Summit 2009 East (a $549 value).

While I've been asked what type of events will be held during the Triathalon, I have been sworn to secrecy. Just know that the games will be equally “winnable” by both men and women and we wouldn't make you do anything that we wouldn't do ourselves.

In addition, Shawn Collins and myself, on behalf of Affiliate Summit, will be matching up to $5,000 in donations to NBCF.

Dress Me Up for Charity

First, I'd like to personally thank everyone that stopped by the AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com table at the Meet Market in Boston to pick up their “I Gave Back” button and raffle ticket. (The winning numbers can be found on the AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com site.)

I don't have a final total of what we raised because many of us sold buttons over the course of the 3 days and donations are still coming in. However, I think we will wind up around $1,500 or so! These donations will be divided up amongst the team members fund raising accounts, who staffed the table during the Meet Market.

I'd like to also thank all the folks who let me “persuade” them into purchasing more than one button and raffle ticket because “I didn't have change” 😉

The generosity of the Affiliate Marketing community has been overwhelming. We're well on our way to our $45,000 goal. Once these donations are applied to our fundraising account, we'll likely be close to $32,000!

That being said, we still have hurdle to jump in order to hit our target.

This Friday (August 22nd), our Team Shirts will be ordered. There is room for four additional sponsors and we'd love to add you! The cost to have your logo placed on our team's shirts and on the AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com website is $1,000.

Donations can be made in any of your favorite walker's names here: www.60-milewalk.com. We'll be wearing the shirts during the event and will be taking lots of photos and videos that will be placed on the AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com site.

Lastly, as many of you know, when it comes to raising money for Breast Cancer Research, I'll do just about anything for donations.

In the spirit of that, I would be honored to wear any company's sticker, button, fairy wings, dunce cap, clown nose or whatever it is you'd want me to wear, for 1 day during the walk for a $250.00 donation in my name at http://www.Missys60MileWalk.com

The only thing that I ask, is that it is something that doesn't prevent me from walking 20 miles that particular day or cover up my team shirt.

So have some fun at my expense — it's for a good cause. And, I assure you, I will not hold it against you 😉
