Get a Scholarship to Affiliate Summit East 2011

Affiliate Summit ran a scholarship program for Affiliate Summit West 2011 and it was a big success, so we are bringing it back for Affiliate Summit East 2011.

There will be sponsoring up to fifty (50) “Pay it Forward Scholarships” made available to affiliates.

The goal of these scholarships is to make the education and networking experience of Affiliate Summit available to affiliates who might not otherwise be able to attend.

Affiliate Summit Pay It Forward Scholarship

Each recipient of the Pay it Forward Sponsorship will be awarded one (1) Platinum Pass (a $1,249 value) to Affiliate Summit East 2011, taking place at Hilton New York on August 21-23, 2011.

Platinum Passes include Breakfast and Lunch on Monday and Tuesday; admission to the Meet Market, Exhibit Hall, four keynotes, all educational sessions on Sunday through Tuesday; participation in the Newcomer program; access to all recorded session videos; and PowerPoint presentations.

Applicants will be considered based on current participation in and future contribution to the affiliate marketing industry.

All applications will be reviewed by the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board and winners of the scholarships will be notified by June 30, 2011.

To be considered for a Pay It Forward Scholarship, please complete the online application. The deadline for submission is Friday, June 17, 2011.

Are You Passionate Enough about Your Brand to be…

Affiliate Summit for eight years now, and it’s been a passion project from the start. I share that passion for everything about Affiliate Summit with my partner, Missy Ward.

Last year, we started talking about getting tattoos with our logo during Blogworld in Las Vegas and ad-tech in NYC, but we didn’t get around to it.

That changed the day before Affiliate Summit West 2011, when we took a quick trip to Club Tattoo at the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas. Missy got the Affiliate Summit logo on her foot and I got inked on my calf.

Lots of folks doubted that we’d gotten real tattoos, because… who does that with their logo/brand?

Well, we are those people. Affiliate Summit has been a significant part of our lives for 8 years – 20% of my life! Such a long chapter deserves a little tat tribute to me.

And we’re not alone. Shortly after we got our tattoos, Jason Rubacky of ShareASale got one of his own for a brand he’s building: #GetSome

There are, at least, two other people who were at Affiliate Summit with tattoos of their brand.

Rae Hoffman has one of her Sugarrae logo, and Greg Hoffman has some Internet Marketing Gorilla ink.

First Timers Guide for Affiliate Summit West 2011

I’ve put together a presentation with advice for folks attending Affiliate Summit for the first time.

Have a quick look for guidance on when to arrive, the dress code, what to bring, following Affiliate Summit West 2011 on Twitter, and more.

I will be giving this presentation in person at 10 am on Sunday, January 9 before Affiliate Summit kicks off.

The session is open to all attendees and will take place in the Margaux 1 room at the Wynn Las Vegas.

You can pick up your conference registration materials between 4 pm and 8 pm the night before or starting at 8am on Sunday in the convention registration area of the Wynn Las Vegas.
