Come Cheer the Team On in LA (or from…
Well, the Avon Breast Cancer Walk is finally upon us.
When all said and done Team Affiliate Marketers Give back has raised $51,059.67 for the walk, making us the 5th highest fund raising team for the walk. (That's a whole lot of access to care and dollars to fund research for a cure to this horrible disease.)
I've personally raised $20,400.00 making me the 3rd highest fundraiser overall and also affords me the opportunity to meet Patrick Dempsey. #McDreamyFanGirlSoWhat
I have all of you to thank for this. Without your support, whether it be via donations, marketing or cheering us on, we would not have raised as much as we did — especially in this economy!
So, I fly out tomorrow because I'm still chicken to fly on 9/11. Stupidsticious, I know; but that's the way it is.
After check in on Friday, we have a team dinner at Wokcano's, where I will be wrestling Chris Pearson for all the Ahi on the table. It's going to be an early night for us because we have to be up and out the door by 4:45am to make the Opening Ceremony.
Overall, this is a 39 mile walk. On Saturday, we will walk 26+ miles and on Sunday, we will walk the balance.
