And, I can't be more thrilled.

Back in January, I announced that I was coming out of affiliate management retirement to take on one affiliate program to manage on a performance basis, with all the money that I earn to be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

After evaluating over 50 merchants, I selected an affiliate program that fit all of the criteria that I was looking for — DIYthemes, the home of Thesis Theme for WordPress (www.ThesisAffiliates.com).

The opportunity to help grow an affiliate program for a product that I already use and love and help out the NBCF is something that I'm really looking forward to.

The owners of DIYthemes, Chris Pearson and Brian Clark (also, owner of CopyBlogger.com) are great guys to work with, which made the decision even easier.

I've got a lot in store for their program and can't wait to get my feet wet. In the meantime, to kick things off, we've launched a new promotion, in which our affiliates have the opportunity to earn free passes to the upcoming Affiliate Summit East 2009, in NYC.

During the months of March-June, our affiliates that make 3 sales can earn themselves a Gold Pass or 10 sales gets them a Platinum Pass. Pretty simple, huh?

Pre-order Chris Brogan’s New Book: Trust Agents

There is no doubt in my mind that Chris Brogan epitomizes all that is good with Social Media and as far as I'm concerned, his resume speaks for itself.

That is why I asked him to deliver a keynote address at the upcoming Affiliate Summit East 2009 this coming August, in New York City. 🙂

For those who need a brief backgrounder on Chris, here it is.

Aside from being one of my favorite social media peeps, Chris has a new business book coming out soon, co-written by Julien Smith entitled “Trust Agents: Using the Web to Build Influence, Improve Reputation, and Earn Trust“.

As Chris describes it, the book is about “people who use the web in a very human way to build influence, reputation, awareness, and who can translate that into some kind of business value.”

In a nutshell, I gather that they will talk about how to effectively build meaningful connections using social media and how to monetize those relationships.

Since Chris is an expert in this area, I can say with utmost certainty, the the $21.40 pre-order price through Amazon is going to be money well spent.

I can't wait to get my hands on a copy! Congrats Chris and Julien.

MarketLeverage Charity Bowl-a-thon

The MarketLeverage team will be joined by the local interactive community on Tuesday, March 31st to raise money for the Neimann-Pick Children’s Fund.

The Neimann-Pick Children's Fund supports research through fundraising, promotes awareness and provides assistance to other NPC families.

The event is taking place at Airport Lanes in Sanford, Florida from 7pm-9pm, and is sure to be a fun time.

For a $25.00 donation, you'll get two games of bowling, shoe rental, food, and an entry to the door prize drawings.

They will also be having a Wii Bowl-a-Thon at the same time.
