Not-So-Silent Silent Auction to Fight Breast Cancer

The Silent Auction is now over. Together we have raised $12,056.54 to fight breast cancer.

Winners are announced on the respective auction post.

A great big “Thank You” to everyone who participated by donating, bidding and promoting the auction to make it so successful!

Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back needs some help getting a few of their team mates over the fundraising minimum so that they are all able to walk together next month, during the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Los Angeles.

They put out a call for donations for their Not-So-Silent, Silent Auction and they received some great items donated by fantastic individuals and companies. You'll find the list of items below.

The auction will run until 11:59pm EST on Friday, August 28th. To bid on the item, simply enter your name and amount you would like to bid. The winner will be the highest bid entered before the auction deadline. (Please make sure that you use your correct email address when prompted, so that we may contact you if you are the winner).

I have some fantastic news… and some not so fantastic news that I'm hoping to fix!

The Fantastic News!

Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back has edged our way up to being one of the Top 10 Team fund raisers for the walk, as we've raised a little over $21k so far… and we're not through yet!

The Not So Fantastic News

When folks sign up to do the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, they agree to raise a minimum of $1,800 in order to actually participate in the walk. So while our team is doing great, we do have a few walkers that need some help hitting their minimum goal.

We've trained hard for the walk and have worked out butts off fundraising, so the last thing I'd want is to not have a team mate be able to walk with us.

With this weighing heavy on my mind, I've come up with plan to help them out with hitting their goal and I'm crossing my fingers that it will work!

The Opportunity

Affiliate Marketers Give Back will be holding what we're calling the “Not So Silent, Silent Auction”, which will begin next week on http://www.AffiliateMarketersGiveBack.com.

We are asking individuals and companies to please help us by considering a donation of an item or services for us to auction off on the website, so that we can help get all of our team over the finish line.

Donated items will be listed on the website (along with information on the donor and a link back to their website) and folks can bid for the items by providing their name and bid amount in the comment section of the post. Winners will be announced after the auction ends and will also receive a link back to their website.

How You Can Donate an Item

If you would like to donate an item or your services, please send me an email containing the item or service description, estimated value and any images that you might like to include.

Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back has never left a team mate behind, and we don't want to start now. So please help us out if you can by donating an item to the auction. It's a great way to get your name and services out in front of the masses and a great way to help raise money to fight breast cancer.

Please Support Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back

As many of you know, Breast Cancer awareness, research and treatment is a cause that I've been championing for several years.

In 2007, I started Affiliate Marketers Give Back, in an effort to rally the Affiliate Marketing Industry to help me kick Breast Cancer's ass.

Since then, we've raised over $100,000 in unique ways; one of them being an annual Team-Walk for Susan G Komen for the Cure.

This year, Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back will be taking on the 40-mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Los Angeles on September 12-13.

The Avon Walk exists to raise funds to fight breast cancer and to bring awareness and education about the disease. It's also an opportunity for individuals to join forces and generate significant progress in both the treatment of breast cancer and a quest for the cure – while simultaneously having an extraordinary experience.

Brian Clark of Copyblogger.com and Chris Pearson of DIYThemes have already joined the team and we're looking for some more folks to come along with us.

If you decide to walk with the rest of Team Affiliate Marketers Give Back (“Team AMGB”), you will definitely have an extraordinary experience — we've had a blast each year!

Free Affiliate Marketing Information

Photo of the word I've been receiving a lot of emails lately from folks that are interested in getting started in affiliate marketing. Maybe it's economy-driven or maybe…just maybe…. bloggers are finally realizing that it's OK to make money from their blogs 😉

Either way, I dig it. There's no better feeling than teaching someone how to make a few extra bucks a month via affiliate marketing; and even better, to help affiliates take their existing affiliate marketing efforts to the next level.

Unfortunately, while I'd love to take everyone under my wing that asks for advice, there's just no way that I can do it. I'm completely overextended right now.
